If you have the patience, it works. It does not have a clamp or handle to hold the hair in place around the barrel, you instead have to hold the ends of the your hair with your hand as it is wrapped around the hair. It is a value because it works, but it does take some time. I think it will last a long time. It has a digital temp control which is helpful. My hair is a long bob, so it was easier and quicker for me, but it would take hours if I had long hair.

Oh this is quite nice ! It works and does its job VERY very well - it stays hot and gives you THE best full head of curls !!!! I did mine before seeing WICKED the play and it took me about 2 hours but the result was worth the time !!
