Before You Start

1. Towel-dry and detangle your hair. Remove excess water without roughening the hair, then gently brush through knots from the ends toward the roots.

2. Align the attachment marker with the corresponding marker on the handle.
3. Press the attachment down onto the handle.
   
   
4. Rotate it into the locked position until it feels secure.

How to Use the High-Speed Dryer

The High-Speed Dryer is the first attachment to use when beginning with wet hair. Its purpose is to remove excess moisture before you move to a styling attachment.

1. Install the High-Speed Dryer while the handle is switched off.
2. Choose a comfortable temperature and airflow setting.
   
3. Direct the airflow toward the roots first, where hair normally retains the most moisture. Otherwise, it can easily damage your hair.
4. Move the dryer continuously around the head rather than holding it over one area.
5. Use your fingers or a brush to lift and separate the hair while drying.
   
   
6. Stop when the hair feels damp rather than wet, approximately 70%–80% dry.
7. Switch the tool off before changing to the next attachment.

How to Use the Volumizing Oval Brush

Use the Volumizing Oval Brush to smooth the hair, reduce visible frizz, create lift at the roots and shape the ends into a polished blowout.

1. Begin with detangled hair that is approximately 70%–80% dry.
2. Divide your hair into sections that fit comfortably around the brush.
   
   
3. Place the brush underneath the first section close to the roots.
4. For extra root lift, hold the brush beneath the roots for approximately two to three seconds.
5. Slowly pull the brush through the mid-lengths while maintaining gentle tension.
6. At the ends, rotate the brush inward for a rounded blowout or outward for a flipped finish.
   
   
7. Repeat the pass if additional smoothing is needed.
8. Finish the section with Cool Shot before removing the brush.

How to Create More Root Volume

Lift the section upward and away from the scalp rather than pulling it straight downward. Position the oval brush underneath the roots, direct the airflow upward and hold briefly before moving through the lengths.

How to Create Curved Ends

As the brush reaches the ends, rotate your wrist and allow the hair to follow the curved surface. Hold the ends around the brush briefly, apply Cool Shot and release without pulling the finished bend straight.

To create a curve at the ends of your hair, follow the steps above and then hold down the cool shot button for 5–10 seconds to set the style, thereby locking in the curve at the ends.

How to Use the Auto-Wrapping Curlers

The set includes left and right Auto-Wrapping Curlers. Choose the curler that corresponds with the side of the head you are styling and the curl direction you want to create.

1. Start with slightly damp hair and divide it into small sections from the bottom upward.
2. Select the left or right curler. R corresponds to the right side, and L corresponds to the left side.
   
3. Take a section approximately 1/2 to 1 inch wide. Smaller sections usually wrap more evenly.
   
   
4. Hold the section around the middle and allow the ends to hang freely.
   
5. Switch the Airshape Pro on and position the curler behind the loose ends.
6. Allow the airflow to attract and wrap the ends around the barrel. Manual twisting is not required.
7. Once the ends are wrapped, release the section from your hand and slowly move the barrel toward the roots.
   
   
8. Hold the wrapped section in position for approximately 15 seconds, adjusting the time for your hair type.
9. Apply Cool Shot for five to ten seconds while the hair remains wrapped.
10. Switch the airflow off and gently lower the barrel to release the curl.
    
11. Allow the curl to cool before brushing, separating or touching it.

Choosing a Curl Direction

Curling the front sections away from the face creates a more open, face-framing finish. Alternating curl directions through the back sections can create softer texture and help prevent the curls from combining into one large wave.

How to Use the Auto-Wrapping Rollers

The Auto-Wrapping Rollers use airflow to wrap the hair before the roller is detached and secured at the roots. This allows the section to cool in its shaped position and can create stronger root lift and a longer-lasting blowout.

1. Begin with detangled hair that is approximately 70%–80% dry.
   
   
2. Attach the roller base securely to the Airshape Pro handle.
   
   
3. Divide the hair above the ears into a top section and two side sections.
   
   
4. Select the appropriate roller shape for the area being styled. Use top rollers through the mohawk area and side rollers near the temples and sides.
   
5. Take a section approximately 1/2 to 1 inch wide. The section should not be wider than the roller.
   
   
6. Hold the section at the mid-lengths and leave the ends loose.
7. Switch the tool on and position the roller in front of the loose ends.
8. Allow the airflow to wrap the hair around the roller automatically.
   
9. Once the ends are secure, slowly guide the roller toward the roots.
10. Hold it near the roots for approximately 15 seconds.
    
    
11. Apply Cool Shot for approximately five seconds.
12. Switch the Airshape Pro off before detaching the magnetic roller.
13. Remove the roller from the base while keeping the hair wrapped.
14. Secure the roller firmly at the roots with a clip.
    
    
15. Repeat until the desired sections have been set.
    
    
16. Leave the rollers in place for approximately 20 minutes or until the hair is completely cool.
17. Remove each clip and gently unwind the rollers without pulling the hair straight.

How to Make Airshape Pro Curls and Volume Last Longer

• Use a lightweight mousse, curl cream or texturizing spray before styling.
• Detangle every section before wrapping it around a curler or roller.
• Keep each section no wider than the attachment being used.
• Use smaller sections for thick, coarse or resistant hair.
• Allow enough heating time for the section to become warm and shaped.
• Use Cool Shot while the hair remains wrapped around the attachment.
• Do not stretch, brush or separate curls while they are still warm.
• Leave the rollers installed until the hair is completely cool.
• Use a light setting spray after completing the full style.

Fine or fragile hair may require lower heat and lighter products. Thick or coarse hair may benefit from smaller sections, stronger airflow and slightly longer styling time.

Common Airshape Pro Styling Mistakes

• Styling Hair That Is Too Wet
  If water remains throughout the section, the styling attachment must spend more time drying before it can shape the hair. Dry the hair to approximately 70%–80%.
• Too much hair selected at once
  Large sections may not wrap evenly around the curlers or rollers. Reduce the section size so the airflow can reach and control the full section.
• Skipping Cool Shot
  Releasing the hair immediately after heating may cause the shape to loosen. Apply Cool Shot while the hair remains wrapped, then let it continue cooling after release.
• Removing Rollers Too Soon
  The rollers are designed to hold the hair in position while it cools. Removing them while warm can reduce root lift and shorten the life of the blowout.
• Changing Attachments While the Tool Is Running
  Always switch the Airshape Pro off before attaching, detaching or changing an accessory.
• Applying Too Much Product
  Heavy creams and oils can weigh down the finished style. Use lightweight products and apply only the amount needed for your hair length and texture.

How to Clean and Store the Airshape Pro

1. Switch the tool off and unplug it from the power source.
2. Allow the handle and attachments to cool completely.
3. Remove loose hair from the brush, rollers and curlers.
   
   
4. Use the included cleaning tool or a soft brush to remove lint from the air inlet and filter area.
   
   
5. Wipe the exterior with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
   
6. Do not rinse the handle or allow water to enter the air openings.
7. Do not wrap the power cord tightly around the handle.
